Personality: Artis is a somewhat bitter young man. Unable to measure up to anything his parents expected, he instead chose to purposefully be the family's disgrace. He's incredibly rude, with a careless attitude and an often crass sense of humor. He has a tendency to piss people off--indeed, it's what he strives for. Being hated is better than being ignored.

Appearance: Artis has long blond hair that he usually leaves down, though he pulls it back and tucks it under a cap or a hood while on raids. His dark green eyes are nothing special, except the intense way he has of staring at things. He's a tall man, over six feet, well-muscled and in peak physical condition.

History: Artis was never seen as particularly important in his family. He's a misting, sure, but only a Smoker, which many consider to be the most useless of the allomatic powers. He certainly had relatives that stole all the attention, praised for their abilities. Artis was still used as an asset however, just one that never caught the limelight. He met Kai Burch when he was 20, before any of this ever started. He was instantly enchanted by the man, intrigued and somewhat awed. Back then, Kai was merely a thief, one that had tried to rob House Lekal. Artis was the one that discovered him, but the thief managed to escape. After that, Artis tracked him down, but Kai easily turned him to his side. When the skaa thief formed a crew, Artis was all too eager to join. With the others, he poses as a half-noble skaa, a suggestion by Kai to avoid hostility from the rest of the crew.
