Theon shook his head with a sigh. "No, they shouldn't." That was one thing they could agree on.

"We need a plan," Ryder murmured. "A plan that somehow covers the three dozen problems we have right now." He snorted and shook his head. "This is impossible."

Theon shook his head silently. "Well, the first thing is finding put when we change guards. Then there's the issue of how to get out of this pit."

[Cʀʏsᴛᴀʟ]

Ryder craned his neck upward. "You're taller than me," he said. "I might be able to boost you up high enough to grab the edge, if you can pull yourself over. But they'd probably see you before you get yourself all the way up."

"We need a distraction," he muttered, looking around at the bare pit.

[Cʀʏsᴛᴀʟ]

"I don't suppose you have any metal on you," Ryder said. It was a long shot. The odds that this guy was an allomancer, let alone that he carried zinc, were incredibly low.

Theon searched his pockets until he found his little flask of metal and liquid before pausing. "You're an allomancer?!"

[Cʀʏsᴛᴀʟ]

"Yeah," Ryder grumbled. "No time to explain. Is there zinc in there?"

"I think so," he said. He shook it and reluctantly handed it over.

[Cʀʏsᴛᴀʟ]

Ryder accepted it gratefully, but instead of swallowing it right away, he slipped it into his pocket. "I can try and start a commotion, but there has to be a catalyst," he said.

"Well, I can try," Theon offered.

[Cʀʏsᴛᴀʟ]

Ryder's eyes flickered up to him. "How? I'd love to hear your plan."

[echolight4eva]

"Id assume you had one since you called for a catalyst," Theon replied, his eyes snapping angrily.

[Cʀʏsᴛᴀʟ]

"A plan for after the catalyst," he said. "I need you to stir the right emotions in them so I can riot them. I don't know how to actually start it."

Theon sighed softly. "I can try."
