The two soon returned to the library, where Madame Raine still sat. She looked up when the two entered and quickly marked her place. She was much farther along in the book than she had been last time. "Ah! There you two are! Tell me what happened!" She demanded playfully, smiling warmly.
"Well, I for one learned that Adelaide here is an excellent shot." Leonie said with a chuckle, taking her seat. "Together we took down a buck and a doe."

Adelaide blushed modestly. "You are a good shot too," she replied quietly. "But thank you."

Leonie only waved her hand dismissively, much like her grandmother would. "It's nothing. Now, would you like to stay for dinner?" Leonie asked with a kind smile. "We'd love to have you if you could stay."

"It would be my honor," she replied with a smile, looking down at the lovely blue sapphire ring on her finger.

Leonie smiled, pleased. "Good! We'll start at once. I admit, I'm famished." She confessed with a chuckle as she got up. "Wait here. I'll only be a minute." She called over her shoulder as she left.
"So, you enjoyed your hunt then? I know Leonie probably did, but I wanted to hear from you dear." Madame Raine said

"It was a very lovely hunt. Perhaps we should eat the deer we caught?"

Madame Raine nodded. "I think that's precisely what Leonie is planning, dear. I'll tell you a secret; she loves venison." Madame Raine confessed with a chuckle. Eventually, servants came in with appetizers, along with Leonie.
"Sorry it took me so long. But our food should be coming now." She said.
"Good. I'm hungry myself." The elder Tekiel woman said, putting her book aside as the food was laid out in front of them

"Mm," Adelaide said, waiting for her hosts to begin eating- her manners were impeccable.

Both Tekiel woman began eating, with the same impeccable manners as Adelaide possessed. "So Adelaide, I have a question." Madame Raine began. "If you had to pick a name for your first child, what would it be?"
"Nana!" Leonie said with a laugh. "Again with the children!" Madame Raine only scoffed.
"It's a perfectly valid question, little Leonie!"

"That would depend," she replied thoughtfully. "If it is a girl, I would like her to be named Abigail, if Nazeal agrees. However, if it is a boy, I might like Charles or Thomas. Or George."

"Oooo, you're good at picking names." Madame Raine said with a chuckle. Leonie smiled and nodded in agreement
"Abigail is a nice name. Is it from anything, or do you just like it?" Leonie asked curiously.

"It was my great-grandmother's name," she replied with a smile. "And I like it. What about you, Leonie? What would you name your child?"

Leonie blinked at the question and then chuckled. "Ah, forgive me Adelaide but I don't think I'll ever have children to be honest. The married life is not for me." She admitted with a small, apologetic smile. "However... Hmmm..." She said, thinking. "If I were to have a child, I think I would name her Aurore if it was a girl, and maybe Jules if it were a boy." She admitted with a shrug and a smile

"I like that," she replied. "Why do you not think you'll get married?"

Leonie shrugged. "Oh, it just doesn't seem for me is all. No one has ever interested me before. So, I simply haven't married, and I doubt I ever will." She replied. Her grandmother chuckled.
"You're just picky." Leonie chuckled and shrugged once more.
"Perhaps. I take full blame for the reason I'm not married."
