Her work was never done.
But she didn't mind it.
Bree sat in her small office/shop, listing off the different ores, gems, and other such minerals her team had mined up today. All of it had been loaded and sent off to be stored, and now Bree just had to list them all off. They had struck a good vein of iron ore, which Bree was certain would be shipped off quickly. It always did. Whether for forging or allomancy, Bree got a lot of orders for metals. It didn't hurt that she was well known now. Her team always had the best luck when it came to mining. That and their chief was a fantastic miner herself. That was definitely her favorite part of the job. Not this.
Bree exhaled through her nose but pressed on. She needed to get this done, so the sooner the better.

There were footsteps outside, heavy boots, and then three-tap knock sounded at the door. Kol shifted back on his heels and crossed his arms, his green eyes glancing around the blank walls in boredom.

Bree looked up from her papers with a frown. Now who would that be. Exhaling heavily, she spoke. "Come in." Her voice was short, and thick with authority. She wasn't head miner for nothing, and she didn't get this far being soft. She continued writing as the person entered, waiting for them to speak first

Kol pushed the door open, and he really was a sight to behold. Standing there in her office, he somehow managed to look entirely out of place. Handsome, clean-faced, and dressed in relatively nice clothing. Kol wasn't exactly inconspicuous, with his height and the tattoo that snaked up on the left side of his face. Then he flashed one of his smiles.
If Kol hadn't been wearing skaa clothing, he would have been spotted as nobleman right away. As it was, no respectable nobleman would wear anything but his finest. "Evening, ma'am," he said. He used a Southern Dominance accent, for multiple reasons. One, it made him marginally less identifiable, if anyone came asking questions. Second, for some reason certain women found it charming. "I hear you're the head miner here."

Bree glanced up at the man. Compared to Bree, this man was small. However, he wouldn't know that until Bree decided to stand. She gave him a quick glance over before meeting his eyes again. Unlike a lot of other woman, her eyes were not full of interest. In fact, she looked rather indifferent and unimpressed. "Yes." She said simply, looking back down at her papers and continuing. This man obviously wasn't a noble, and he didn't seem like he was from the Southern Dominance either despite the accent. But he was in Bree's office so he probably wanted something. Everyone who came into it did.
"What do you want?" She asked bluntly

"Metals," Kol replied. "Allomatic metals, specifically. Iron, steel, and tin. If you have all of those, of course."

"I have all of them. Do you have the coin?" She asked, pointing with her one had to a paper attached to the wall with her prices. "Price depends on how much you want. And don't try to bargain with me. The prices are set. Period." She said firmly, dropping her hand and moving on with her writing

Kol smiled faintly. "I like a woman who doesn't budge," he said. "Yes, I can pay. Give me two vials of each," he said. After a paused, he said, "Make that three of the tin." Most allomancers carried their metals in little vials of saline, which made it easier to swallow. "I assume you have vials. If not, I can make my own."

Bree didn't even respond to the flirt. Instead she only nodded, finishing up her paper, before standing. She was enormous. But then again, all of the Lynch family was. "Wait here." She said before exiting the room. She was gone for a few minutes before she returned with what he had asked for, vials included. She sat back down in her seat, and looked up at Kol for the second time. "Coin." She said simply, rather indifferent to the whole process. She had been through this a million times before. This time was no different

Kol dug into his pouch and counted out the right amount of coins, while attempting to conceal the real amount of money he carried. He'd brought plenty, just in case, but it seemed he wouldn't need it all. He didn't want to draw more attention than was necessary.

Bree simply sat and waited. She noticed he seemed like he was hiding his money. Her blue eyes narrowed slightly at him. "You're a thief, aren't you?" She asked bluntly. He didn't seem like the working type.

Kol met her eyes and gave an easy smile. "What gives you that idea?" he asked. This woman was sharp, though. He could see that right off the bat. He'd have to watch himself if he didn't want to stir up trouble, which he had a nasty habit of doing.

"Your build. You look as if you haven't worked a day in your life. At least not the business that builds visible muscles." She said, still eying him. The vials he wanted were in her hand, but is was almost as if they were in the claws of a bear. "You look almost like a noble. Confident. Suave. Arrogant." She listed. This man had to be some sort of thief. Bree could just feel it in her bones.
But then again, what did she care really? As long as he didn't steal from her, it really wasn't her concern. Bree sighed and leaned back in her chair, but she did not take her eyes off him for an instant. "Have you stolen from me before?" She questioned bluntly, but she didn't seem like she was going to attack him or call for guards

Kol scoffed, seemingly offended by the question. "Of course not. I don't steal from honest skaa. Besides, if I wanted to steal from you, don't you think I would have just done it? Why come in here and pay for the metals, when I could just take them?"

Bree slowly nodded. It made sense. She sighed again before shaking her head. "Fine. Coin please, and then I'll give you your metals." She said, extending her empty hand
