Zoe pouted at his undeniable logic, though technically she wouldn't be inside the building. Just the rest of them would be. Even she wasn't sadistic enough to kill her own crew, even a temporary one. "Fine. But I don't have any other ideas."

"Somebody could accidentally break something," Noah suggested. "It would be loud enough to be heard by the rest of the crew and we would know to get our of there."

Nathan shook his head and tapped his index finger against his leg. "Easy solution," he said. "I make a scene. Everyone will probably be expecting it anyway. That will get Alicia, Noah, and me out, since we'll be attending together. The rest of you will have to find your own exits."

Nathan gave the two men a nod. "Right. Now, I'd like to lay some ground rules. First, you do as I say. No exceptions. I call the shots, and if you disobey, you're out of the crew and on your own." He turned his gaze to Zoe before continuing. "Second, no flashy business. We're there to draw attention to myself and Alicia, not anyone else." Zoe caught on to his critical look and glared back at him.

"For some of us," Zoe huffed. She didn't make any further comment, though. Nathan dismissed all of them, telling them to meet him again the next night, in the same place. Zoe climbed back up to the catwalk like a monkey and then disappeared into the shadows, exiting the same way she'd come in--presumably a window.

Noah slunk out the door with the others, while Alicia lingered a moment, until the rest were gone. She looked at Nathaniel, looking as though she wanted to say something, but then thought better of it and walked off.
