As they drew closer, Artis was able to make out Nazeal's features. The figure in black, however, had their face hidden by a mask. He has to be hot, he thought with mild amusement. Covered from head to toe in black on a day like this?

Eventually, the black figure looked up and caught sight of them, then started urging Nazeal farther away from the bank and inland.

Artis nodded. Just then, the boat bumped up against the shore near the area where the two were heading away from the river.

(I was thinking Kai could go attack them. Just have him push off of something metal on the boat)

He began shooting coins at the two, aiming as carefully as he could as he ran.

Nazeal heard the zip of the coins just in time to burn steel deflect them instinctively. He turned around, his eyes widening when he saw Kai dashing toward them. Beside him, his rescuer swore inaudibly. "We cannot outrun him," the stranger said. "We will have to fight."

"Fight a mistborn?" Nazeal exclaimed. "Are you crazy?"
