The mysterious stranger grunted in response and turned to face the oncoming Kai, while Nazeal continued to push away coins. The man drew two obsidian daggers from under his cloak and narrowed his pale eyes behind his mask.

Kai stopped and drew his own dagger with a small smirk. "If you just hand over the noble, you can be on your way."

The man dodged to the left with incredible speed... speed not even a Pewterarm could manage. Then he darted forward, slashing at Kai with his black daggers.

"No so tough now, Allomancer," the man said darkly. His black blade nicked Kai's arm before he moved away. He'd been saving it up for a long time, but he didn't have unlimited speed. He'd need to conserve it.

Kai growled in pain and anger and lunged towards the man, his own blades slashing wildly in his anger.

This time he managed to dodge without tapping his speed. He danced around Kai, moving with natural nimbleness. The metal sleeves on his arms seemed to be a part of him, a second skin, and in a way they were. They glided with his movement, unrestrictive, as he drove his sword at Kai again.

This time, Kai was wounded. He sidestepped a little, but not enough, and the blade drove into his side. Meanwhile, Adelaide watched the battle as well as she could from her position on the deck on the ship.

Nazeal cried out. Even though Kai was his enemy--and, yes, trying to kill him--he'd never been a violent person. Watching the masked man drive his sword through the allomancer made his eyes widen in horror. No man could survive that, right? Unless he's a Thug, he thought. Or a Mistborn.

Kai inhaled sharply in shock, but never yelled. Even though he knew he could heal himself, he also knew it would be hard and require quite a bit of time. He pulled the sword out slowly, and honed all his allomancy on healing the grievous wound.

(So allomancers can't actually heal themselves, but burning pewter does make them heal faster than ordinary men. It will also block pain and keep them on their feet even when their body is in bad shape)
(Also, I like the love triangle that was forming when Wizard was still around... we should get another character involved. Like Kai? Hmm....)

(Indeed. So our mystery man should help Nazeal escape. Then he has to find his wife, only to discover Kai has captured her, probably by using Artis)
