Nikolai heard her remark and smirked slightly, pleased. Soon he perked trough and grinned at her. "Here it is!" He said, pushing open the door and bringing in the dress. It was...

Well, when he said it would be like a veil of stars, he wasn't lying.

It was simple really, with no ruffles or folds or that sort of thing. And yet it demanded attention. The fabric glittered subtly, so that while it wasn't flashy, it still caught the eye and attracted it. The neck was cut in a low V, but not too low from the looks of it. The outline if the neck, the sleeve endings, and the bottom of the dress were lined with silver embroidery. Also around the waist was a slim band of silver as well, just to emphasize Adelaide's slim middle. On the bottom of the dress's embroidery, there were four small triangles that pointed up and were evenly distributed along the silver band. It was almost as if they demanded the viewer to look back up to where Adelaide's face would be. It was a long dress as well, falling straight down, but did not seem to be overly lengthy.

"Well?" Nikolai asked

Adelaide covered her mouth. It was... well, beautiful couldn't describe it adequately. "Oh, Mr. Volkov! It's... stunning! Oh, do let me try it on! I simply must see it on!" She grinned, gazing at him.

Nikolai laughed. "Of course! That's precisely why I brought you here! Here, I'll help you so it doesn't wrinkle." He said. "Here, let me help." After a while of shuffling, he managed to help Adelaide into the dress. Nikolai took a few steps back and observed her. A slow, triumphant smile grew on his face. It fit her perfectly. The dress was long enough to reach just a little past her toes, but not get in the way when she walked. It was truly a magnificent dress. He pointed to the mirror nearby. "I'm sure you're dying to see how you look! Go ahead! Spoiler though, you look magnificent. Truly like the moon herself."

Adelaide turned around and looked into the mirror, gasping with bliss. "Oh, my. I... I absolutely love it," she sighed happily. "The moon.... Perhaps it is fitting that I am so pale," she joked. "Oh, thank you so much. Here," she handed him the money that she owed him and turned, observing the rest of the dress that she could see. "How lovely. Simply extraordinary craftsmanship."

Nikolai chuckled and accepted her money. "Thank you kindly, Lady Adelaide! I'm glad it fits you so well. I'm sure you'll get much attention at the next ball you attend! Just imagine the other noble women whispering amongst themselves. I'm sure you'll get many offers to dance from the other lords!" He assured her, putting the money into his pocket for now.

"I'm not sure how Nazeal would react to that," she laughed teasingly. "I will suggest you to everyone I see! Thank you again, goodbye!"

A few days later was the night Adelaide would debut her new dress. The ball was at Keep Venture, so she and Nazeal could be fashionably late. She smoothed down the fabric of the dress and came out of the bedroom where Nazeal was. "What do you think?"
