Adelaide nodded, taking his hand in her soft one. She smiled at him. "Yes, I did. You should get a suit from him."

"I most definitely will, assuming he makes men's clothes as wonderfully as women's." Nazeal guided her toward the door and then opened it for her, ready to make their entrance to the ball.

Adelaide nodded. Once in the ballroom, the crowd clapped for the new couple, although they weren't news anymore. Adelaide's dress was, though.

A number of ladies, young and old women alike, swarmed around them, swooning over Adelaide's dress. Some simply seemed to be having fun fawning over it, but jealousy gleamed in others' eyes. Meanwhile, Nazeal stood by and merely smiled at them all, speaking only when specifically prompted to.

Adelaide smiled at the ladies, surprised by all the attention, which was new. She gave a small chuckle. "Well, ladies. I have no one to thank but Mr. Nikolai Volkov. You should all go and speak to him about getting dresses tailored for you. In fact, I believe I see him over there!" She pointed into the crowd, smiling patiently at the women.

And indeed there Nikolai stood, off towards a corner in one of his own fashionable outfits. One of the nobles who regularly bought from him had so kindly offered for Nikolai to attend the ball. Nikolai had been elated to accept, and had thanked the Nobel profusely for his offer. Externally perhaps.
On the inside, Nikolai had been mentally cursing, his mind's eye glaring daggers at the nobleman for inviting him. He couldn't possible say no, especially when he was going to be escorted in his own carriage with the noble. To say no would've been a death sentence. So Nikolai donned his outfit and donned his mask before entering into the word of the higher up. Outside he was smiling, while inside he was snarling.
But it hadn't been too terrible. He had seen Adelaide and her husband descend the stairs, and his lips turned up in a triumphant smirk. She had looked exactly as he predicted, like the moon wrapped in stars. And practically everyone had fawned over her. Proud of his work, the victory gave Nikolai some small speck of light in the otherwise bothersome evening. All he had to do was survive now, and leave when it was polite to do so. He just hoped he could last so long, for every second felt like a tooth pulling eternity

Adelaide smiled apologetically at Nikolai when he was surrounded by the women who had swarmed her. She looked at Nazeal. "Shall we go speak to him about getting you a suit?" she asked.

Nazeal chuckled as the woman turned their attention to Nikolai. "Perhaps it will save him from all those... enthusiastic ladies." He touched her arm with his other hand and started toward the tailor.

"Poor fellow," she said with a grin. When they came up to them, Adelaide smiled brightly at Nikolai. "Hello, Mr. Volkov. How are you doing?"

Nikolai had been internally groaning when he was suddenly surrounded by the women. Obviously they found out he was the tailor to Adelaide's dress. However, by a merciful hand of fate, Adelaide and her husband walked over and parted the chattering sea of noble faces.
Nikolai smiled widely at Adelaide. "Lady Adelaide! It's a pleasure to see you again!" He said with a deep bow before standing. "I see that your dress was well love. As I predicted." He said with a triumphant smirk as the other nobles moved off slightly when the two approached.
Nikolai turned towards Nazeal and gave him a bow as well. "And you must be her husband! Good to meet you as well! How does it feel to practically has the goddess of the night sky at your side?" he asked good-naturedly with a chuckle

Nazeal gave him a warm smile--a real one, uncommon from nobles to skaa. "It's wonderful. I think every person in the room is jealous. You have talent, Mr. Volkov."

Nikolai was surprised at the smile, but it didn't show. His mask was too good to show his true emotions. Instead, he laughed. "I thank you kindly, Lord Venture! I do try." He said, then he glanced at Adelaide with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. "But I think I know the other reason for you two approaching me. Very sneaky, Lady Adelaide!" He said before looking at Nazeal. "I'm betting you're wondering if I can make men's attire just as well as your wife's dress."

Adelaide gave a small laugh. "You would be correct in that," she said with a smile. "We are interested in seeing if you would make a suit for Nazeal."

"I need a new one anyway," Nazeal said. Like most nobles, he had endless numbers of suits, but his favorite one was growing rather worn. "Perhaps one to match my wife's lovely dress."

Nikolai tapped his chin, stepping back a bit. "One like her dress, eh? Hmmm..." He hummed, thinking about it. "Perhaps... It could work, yes... But then again.... You may also look good in a sort of dark gold. Something like the sun maybe." He mused, in a sort of miniature trance. Then he blinked.
"Oh! Terribly sorry about that! I tend to fade out like that." He admitted with a chuckle. "But I could most definitely make you a suit sir! One to match your lovely wife." He said with a chuckle and a nod to Adelaide.
