Kol smiled at her. "Goodnight," he said. He turned away and entered a much larger room, leaving Ava to the private quarters--though cramped--that he'd convinced the man to give her. He didn't want her sleeping around the other men.

Ava was relieved to have her own room, but just in case, she locked the door behind herself.

(So should we have Kai find them again, or one of the various others after Kol? lol)

A few days later, Kol and Ava were out and about, running some errands for Kol's friend. A man watched from a distance, preparing to strike.

Kol, as always, had bronze and copper on a low burn, searching for other allomancers and hiding his own abilities. He walked close to Ava, his sharp eyes searching the street and taking in every detail. The years had made him paranoid. He was unaware of the man laying in wait, though.

"Now lets see... what did your friend want us to get him?"

"Some item from a black market pawn shot," Kol replied. "Don't ask me why he wants it." He glanced down a narrow alley and tilted his head. "Ah. Here we are. Come on." He glanced over his shoulder before stepping inside. A larger man would have had trouble fitting between the ash-stained walls. When he reached a door that was so blackened it seemed to be made of coal, he rapped his knuckles three times against the wood.

The man watched them slip down the alleyway, frowning.
Ava followed, looking around carefully before turning her attention to the door.

The door opened and a small skaa woman gestured them inside. "We've been expecting you," she said. How she could be so sure it was them, Kol didn't know, but she didn't seem worried as he stepped inside.

The man watching them decided to wait outside for them to emerge.
Ava followed Kol inside, her eyes narrowing as she looked around.

The inside of the shop was definitely strange. It did bear some resemblance to a regular pawn shop you'd find on the street, aside from having no windows, but the objects were... less than regular. Non-metal weapons (including ones made of bone), little glass jars of what Kol guessed were Allomantic metals, and some things that he was fairly sure used to be body parts of some kind. He suppressed the urge to shudder and focused on the woman. "We're here on behalf of (does the guy have a name yet?)"
