Personality: He's always had a strong will, which is perhaps the only reason he's still alive. He was never much of a joker, but after months at the Pits, he spends his days in desolate silence. He's made it this long, and though he'd never have considered death as an option before, Ryder is on the verge of giving up. After all, there's no escaping the Pits of Hathsin, so what's the point? Yet, some part of him holds on to the impossible hope that one day he'll make it out. He just doesn't have it in him to give up.
Appearance: Ryder is a strongly built man, his muscles coming from years of hard work as a blacksmith's assistant and then a thief. He has long, messy brown hair that falls a few inches above his shoulders and piercing blue eyes. The effect his eyes have on people has more to do with the will power behind them than the color.
History: Ryder's mother got pregnant when she was sixteen, thanks to a nameless nobleman. She never heard from him again. To save his life, his mother told everyone that Ryder's father was a skaa that worked in the factories. He grew up unaware of his heritage, at least until he started developing alomancy. Ryder is a Rioter. Until he was sixteen, he worked as a blacksmith's assistant. He was never happy working for the blacksmith, but it was something to keep his family fed and a roof over their heads. Then the man somehow found out that Ryder had noble blood, so he fled and became part of the Underground. He made a competent thief on his own, but he liked working in groups on elaborate heists where he could use his alomancy. The problem with working in groups is that any of them can betray you. One night, he and his band decided to rob a noble keep, that of House Venture. He thought he knew the people in his group well enough to trust them--to some extent--but then one of them betrayed him. He and another man got captured and sent to work in the Pits of Hathsin. Five months later, the other man failed to find a crystal and was killed on the spot. Now Ryder works day after day, slicing his arms to pieces to find what he needs to stay alive, even though sometimes he wonders if it would be better to die.

Emalynn Under

Personality: Emalynn is quiet, she keeps to herself and doesn't talk much other than to sell the things she stole. Once you gain Emalynn's trust she is kind and witty, she has a sharp tongue though and doesn't hold back. Emalynn talks more than acts.

Appearance: Emalynn has short red-tawny hair, and storm blue eyes. She wears dark black clothes to cover her head to toe and a short stature Emalynn Under is an amazing thief. Emalynn is strong, she can easily climb walls and pull herself up through window.

History: Emalynn grew up in rags, her mother left her and her father for a better life. Emalynn has never met her mother and has never had the desire to meet her. Emalynn's father was a miner, he worked until his heart stopped. Emalynn's father died, his lung became weak from all of his work underground and Emalynn found her father one morning dead. Emalynn struggled, starving she almost died until a lady taught her some trick and helped her until she was old enough to take care of herself. The lady was elegant and beautiful even though she was as poor as Emalynn and had nothing but a name, Simone. Simone disappeared and Emalynn thinks that she was caught or killed.

Zoe Kendrick

Personality: Zoe, more often referred to as Kendrick, is a bit of an odd person. She can't interact with other people and doesn't have a clue how to show her emotions. She has a skewed perception of the world, due to her past, and doesn't have much interest in talking. Mostly, she just wants to steal. She gets off on the thrill of the job, the danger and the cunning and skill it takes to pull it off. She has a sarcastic, somewhat flat sense of humor, and it's rarely easy to tell if she's joking or not. Zoe might not be an allomancer, but she has a flare for special effects. Her signature move is making things glow, usually blue. She can do things that leave people a little dumbfounded, giving her time to escape. She also gets a kick out of rendering people speechless. The thing is, she doesn't run cons. She has a strict get in and get out policy, never making contact with other people. Her acting is... questionable (which is code for horrible), so Nathan's team usually keeps her in the shadows on their jobs.

Appearance: Zoe has long brown hair and bright blue eyes. She also has an invisible tattoo on her face that, through a method of her own creation, glows when she puts a certain chemical on it. She's pretty enough to catch an eye, but common enough that she can blend in if she wants to. Which is most of the time.

History: Zoe was born in a very poor family. Her parents both died of disease when she was only six, and she's had to fend for herself since then. After being sneered at, beaten down, and ignored, she took it upon herself to change her life. She became a thief, learning through trial and error. At first, she got caught multiple times, but since she was stealing from skaa families she never got in trouble. Eventually, she got good enough to start stealing from nobles. She's lived a rather solitary life, working alone and mostly stealing for high nobles, ones lesser thieves wouldn't even think about. She's one of the best there is... which is why Nathaniel Elariel contacted her.

Noah Cooke

Personality: Noah has been described by others by a number of things. For one, he is a class-A jerk. He is also fearless, loyal, and especially good at seducing woman. He isn't much of an intellectual, but he has just enough of a brain to get thieving jobs on. He is a talented thief and is just basically an asshole.

Appearance: Noah has amazing blue eyes that draw in any woman he chooses to use them on. He has shaggy black hair and darkish skin. He has an amazing chiseled face and he is incredibly handsome.

History: Noah was born to two skaa and worked for the steel ministry when he turned ten. He stopped, though, when he met a man who got him involved with the Underground and helped him hone his skills in thievery. Then, he met Nathan and joined his crew. His history isn't very deep, so it fits him very well.

Alicia Stone

Personality: If you were to look up the word 'sneaky' in the dictionary, you would see Alicia's picture. She was born to be in a thieving crew. She has special shoes that she wears during jobs that make her silent, but she could make wooden clogs walking on seashells silent. People describe Alicia as unnerving because she will just show up and you won't hear her coming in the slightest. Another thing about Alicia is that she never talks. Ever. So, nobody knows anything about her, except that she is silent and that she is a tineye. There is one exception to her silence rule, and that is Nathan, the leader of her crew. She only talks to him, and even that is rare. Finally, Alicia is as deadly as a cobra with her knives as well as her fists.

Appearance: Alicia is tall, standing at 5"9. She has dark, straight hair that comes to just below her shoulder blades. Her skin is somewhat pale and her eyes, always marked with dark makeup, are hazel-brown. She wears dark clothing or armor and always has a red, blade-shaped necklace on.

History: Nobody knows Alicia's history, as she never talks about it, but the only hint about her past are numerous, long white scars on her arms.

Personality: Kai is a dangerous man. One can never predict what his mood will be that day. It changes as swiftly as the wind. But one thing Kai always is, is deadly. He is a mistborn, so he has a lot of power, and he has honed almost every metal so that he is perfect at it. He has little time to be anything but serious, but if he can find time, he will usually go for a drink and maybe a cheap whore. But lately, he has been very busy with his little scheme to kill those foolish enough to be out in the mists at night.

Appearance: Kai is a rather handsome man. He has alluring blue-green eyes and a rather chiseled face. He is also tall, standing at 6"5, and he has the usual darker skin of a skaa. The only difference is that he has blondish hair, proving that he is not all skaa.

History: Kai was born in the Underground to a hard-working mother and father. His parents were both skaa, except for his father, who was half noble on his father's side. Kai was working in the factories when he Snapped one day, as an eight-year old boy. Since then, he has been up to no good, stealing from skaa and nobles alike, and honing his craft of allomancy until it was practically perfect. Then one day, he had an idea. He wondered if the Lord Ruler could be scared. So, he formed a gang of thiefs and n'er-do-wells to kill one person every so often at night. And, rumor has it, his plan is working...

Mikael

Personality:
Mikael is the quiet, withdrawn type. He doesn't smile, rarely speaks, and he's very good at doing what he'd told. Even as a skaa thief, he's learned to keep his head down and not draw attention. For him, that can be hard, but he tries anyway. Because of his aloof behavior, people really don't know much about him, and he likes it that way. When he does speak, it's in a soft but firm voice.

Appearance:
They always say it's a curse for a skaa to have a pretty daughter. Well, it can be a curse to have a pretty son, too. This is why Mikael finds it so hard to not draw attention. His face demands it. He has a face to stop people on the street, with high cheekbones and captivating dark eyes. He rarely cuts his brown hair, and when he does he tends to just chop it off with a knife, so it's always messy and uneven.

History:
Mikael was born to a single mother, his father killed by an irritated nobleman a few months into her pregnancy. The other skaa in her tenement took care of the pregnant woman, and then afterward her baby boy when she had to return to work. Skaa that don't work don't eat. Mikael grew up well-loved and well-hidden. One of the older skaa men recognized the boy's fine features from an early age, and knew good looks would cause trouble for him. Whenever he had to go outside, they smeared his face thoroughly with ash and had him wear a hat or hood. Then, when he was eighteen, Mikael snuck away from his mother to explore the city on his own. He accidentally caught the notice of a noblewoman out for a day's shopping. She ordered her guard to take him, and Mikael was sure he'd be executed for some obscure crime. Instead, the noblewoman brought him home and asked her husband if she could 'keep him,' like he was a stray puppy. You see, noblemen aren't the only people who like to dally with skaa. The young man was kept in the keep for three years, playing the woman's pet and indulging her every whim. Whether that be fetching her refreshments or providing late-night entertainment, Mikael knew better than to refuse any wish. When he twenty-one, a skaa thieving crew broke into the keep. In the confusion, Mikael followed them out as they escaped. The crewleader didn't realize it at first, but when he discovered the young man followed them, he nearly killed Mikael. The skaa convinced him not to, though, and found a place in the crew.
