"I don't know," Nazeal murmured, his eyes sweeping back to her. "I was kind of enjoying hiding up here with you. It's much more pleasant than being down there."

She dipped her head. "Very well," she agreed. It was better than being among the partygoers. She just liked watching them from above.
(Should we timeskip to their wedding?)

(Oh, okay :3 Then they should find out at the ball when they come down again.)
After a good while of just watching the ball from above, Adelaide and Nazeal finally decided to return to its midst. Adkeiades mother found them almost immediately. "Good news for both of you! We are moving the wedding to next week." Adelade gaped at her mother. "What? Next week?"

Nazeal stiffened. It wasn't like he didn't know it would happened eventually, but... he still hardly knew her! And they expected him to wed her so soon? "Lady Hasting, not to be rude, but are you sure of this? It might not be the wisest idea."

Lady Hasting looked at him. "Quite sure. And it wasn't all my decision- your parents agree wholeheartedly." Adelaide looked at him with widened eyes, not daring to argue with her.

(Haha, you did it again)
Nazeal took a deep breath. "Very well, Lady Hasting." He glanced at Adelaide, trying to find the emotions behind those wide eyes. "I suppose there is much to be done in the next week."

(Damn it...)
Adelaide swallowed and looked at her mother. "Yes. I'll need to get my gown fitted immediately," she said softly. "And my shoes.."

Nazeal nodded and then said to her mother, "I think it's time for the party to end. There will be time for more dancing after the wedding."

(I tried to put a smiley face. Instead it did this ) Nazeal shooed the servant away, figuring checking his suit two dozen times was enough. The woman backing away only presented an opportunity for his mother to stride forward and inspect his apparel. Satisfied, she smiled at him. "Look at my handsome boy. Finally being wed, and to an excellent match." Nazeal still wasn't sure what made Adelaide so appealing to them, but he wasn't going to ask. This was happening; it didn't really matter to him why. "Thank you, mother," he said. "I do hope she's as pleased as everyone else." The lady waved her hand dismissively. "Why wouldn't she be? It's an honor to marry the Venture heir. She should be thrilled."

(Awesome! ) In a room on the other side of the building, in a plush room, Adelaide was getting ready. Her mother sat in a chair nearby and watched, giving instructions occasionally. But the real star of the room was Adelaide. She was clad in a stunning, white silk dress with sleeves all the way to the floor, with slits for her hands and wrists to go through should she need to use her hands. The dress had a stiff stomacher with a complicated silver design sewn into it. Around her waist was a silver sash, which was tied in the front and went to the floor. Her feet were in a pair of silver shoes with a little heel, and her hair was down, straightened, and was covered with a white lace veil. Her mother stood and looked at her. "Are you ready?" Adelaide let out a breath through her nose and nodded. "As I'll ever be."

Nazeal's mother brushed off his dark blue suit one last time before they left the room together. The ceremony would be held in the keep's chapel, so they headed there. When they entered through the grand doors, the chapel's pews were already full of guests.

A servant ran to the room where Adelaide and her mother were, letting them know that the groom was in place. Adelaide felt a burst of nervousness before lowering her veil and walking out. Her father was waiting outside the chapel doors to walk her down the aisle and present her to her husband. Adelaide locked arms with him and they began walking down the aisle, Adelaide gripping a beautiful bouquet of roses. She looked at Nazeal, strangely comforted at the thought that she knew he was kind. She finally reached the other end and took her place next to Nazeal, in front of the minister.

Nazeal took a deep breath and stood tall as she walked down the aisle with her father. When she reached him, her offered her a reassuring smile and then his arm. Behind them, he could still hear the excited whispers from the guests. Funny thing was, they probably didn't care about the wedding. Being invited was a status statement, showing strong ties to House Venture. Those who weren't offered a seat were probably sulking in their own magnificent keeps at the moment.
