His words indeed raised suspicion, her face scrunching into a frown as she stared at him. A few heartbeats passed before she finally spoke. "Why?" She asked. "Tell me why, and I just might agree." She said, crossing her arms over her chest as she leaned back.
This was all too suspicious. He wanted all of her metal. Only a few people asked her for that, and it was basically only nobles.

Kol took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Please, I can't tell you. It's for your own safety." He realized how that sounded, such a ridiculous excuse, but it was true. "And the sooner I'm out of here, the better for both of us."

Bree kept her glare, mulling over his words. He didn't seem to be lying. Bree could practically hear a lie from a mile away. He sounded genuine. So the real question was: would she do it? Did she care enough? As long as he had money, it really wasn't much of a problem for Bree. And as long as he kept the trouble away from her.
Bree rubbed her face in her hands before looking up at Kol again. "If I agree, you'll make sure the purchase isn't connected to me. Understand?"
