"Hmm," Nazeal mused, looking around. "Well, I've seen worse," he remarked lightly.

Adelaide smiled. "As have I. How long will our voyage take?"

"Three weeks at the very least," Nazeal replied. He walked over to the bed--much narrower to the one in their rooms at Keep Venture--and spotted their things on the floor nearby. "That's if everything goes smoothly. What with bandits and possible poor weather, that's unlikely."

Adelaide made a sound in the back of her throat to show she had listened and understood. She walked over to their luggage, dug hers out, and began refolding everything and placing it in the lower two drawers of the bureau. "Do you think we will be alright?"

"Of course," Nazeal said loftily. "These men know what they're doing. And if anything happens, I'll protect you." He gave her a gentle smile and then copied her actions, moving his clothing into the provided drawers, which latched to prevent them from opening.

She smiled when he said he would protect her, but his words about bandits had planted a small seed of doubt in her heart. She pushed it to the back of her mind, though, and finished her work.

When he was done, Nazeal sat on the bed and glanced around the cabin once more. While he didn't want them to be attacked by bandits, a small part of him mused that it would liven up the trip.

The boat gave a small lurch as soon as Adelaide stood up, and she stumbled into Nazeal. She didn't quite have her sea legs yet. "Oh, sorry," she said with a sheepish grin. She untangled herself from him and stood.

Nazeal chuckled. "It's quite alright." He held her get her balance again, gazing at her fondly.
(Too bad Wizard disappeared. Bye-bye love triangle)

(Yeah haha xD)
She laughed nervously and smiled shyly at him. "So, we are staying with your family. Do you know what they are like?"

"Never met them, actually," Nazeal replied. "They're a distant branch, but my father favors the work they do. Mostly running plantations, but other things too."

"That's good," she replied. "I've only ever met a cousin of a distant branch of the Hasting family, Shayla."

"I've heard some about the family, but..." he hesitated and then shrugged. "Well, you can't learn much about anyone without meeting them. I guess we'll just see when we get there."

Privately, Adelaide held doubts. She didn't know if they would be similar in difficulty to win over to Nazeal's parents had been- their first dinner together had been a walk on a fine line to please them and convince them of the marriage, and it hadn't been easy. She hoped his distant family wasn't so difficult.

Privately, Nazeal believed his relatives would be far easier to please than his parents. His mother and father were all-around disapproving people, but this branch of the family would know he was the house heir. They would likely pander to him, whatever they thought of him or his wife.
He pulled his pocket watch out to check the time. Many nobleman had them, though as an allomancer some thought him strange for wearing something made of metal. Honestly, he liked to think he could use the metal against someone else in a fight. He was, after all, a coinshot. "Lunch will be served soon," he said. "What would you like to do until then?"
