Nathaniel Elariel tapped his foot impatiently and glanced at the door. He stood in a warehouse, used to store grain harvested in the field. This time of year, though, it was somewhat empty and inactive even during the day. During the night, of course, it was dead quiet. He was the only one there... something that irritated him a little. Where were those guys? Well, one could never count on a thief to show up on time it seemed.
He walked to a window and peered outside, where the mists crept and swirled over the cobblestone street. Damn, he could really use a drink. Maybe he should just ditch this idea and go home to his liquor cabinet. Still, the one thing more powerful than his need for a drink was his need for revenge... and he needed these thieves to pull it off. So he stayed. Just a few more minutes.

A few moments after Nathan thought this, the door creaked open quietly, and in came a shadow. Well, of course it wasn't really a shadow. It was Alicia Stone, the tineye of the group. Her armor was shiny and sleek, and one could make out the outlines of numerous knives on her body. She regarded Nathan silently, then approached on catlike feet and held out a bottle. She didn't drink, but she knew that he would need his nerves calmed, so she had stolen a flask and brought it for him. Alicia brushed off some invisible dust from her armor and sat at the table, her posture straight and stiff. Her eyes remained active, though, as she watched the door.

Nathan narrowed his eyes at her. He'd never seen any of his new crew, but he knew instantly who she was. "Alicia Stone, is it?" He hoped she was as good as they said. He hoped all of them were as good as they said; he needed only the best.

Alicia dipped her head in affirmation. She wasn't prepared to talk to him yet, so she would stay as silent as always. She put the flask down on the table when he didn't take it and then crossed her arms.

Soon after Alicia entered, the door creaked open once more. Only this time, it wasn't some femme fatale clad in dark armor. Instead it was a decently large man clad in a dark but otherwise sharp suit. Nickolai Volkov. He wasn't what came to mind when someone pictured a criminal gang, but thats precisely why he was good. He was the team's smoker, and a good one at that. He was also the most reluctant member to join. He didn't exactly like nobles, so working with one (even if it was Nathan) wasn't exactly his favorite thing to do. He dusted off his clothes, tsking. "Terribly sorry about that. Some guards were lingering outside, so I had to wait before I could get out of my shop. Moving around in the streets with the mist out isn't exactly 'normal' behavior." He said before he walked forward and took a seat. Preferably the furthest one from anyone. Especially Nathan.

Nathan glanced at Nikolai. He was taller than he'd expected. "Welcome, Mr. Volkov. This is Alicia Stone, a tineye. She'll be acting as our scout. Alicia, Nikolai is our smoker."

Nikolai glanced at Alicia and gave her a faint nod before looking back at Nathan. "As lovely as this is, could we get down to business? The night is still young, but she'll be a wrinkled old hag soon enough. I'd like to be back inside my shop, safe, by the time that happens." He said. He looked around the table and raised an eyebrow. "Is this it?"

Once more, the door opened and a tall young man walked in. He mussed his hair with a hand and grinned at the group. "Hey there. I'm here. Sorry about being late."

"I highly doubt that," Nathan said. "We're just waiting on one more." He glanced toward the door, a frown on his face. "Where is she?" Perhaps she wouldn't show up at all. That would be unfortunate, but he'd just have to make due with these other three.

"Geez, you guys are all idiots." The voice came from above them, on one of the catwalks. A form moved forward from the shadows, stepping into a patch of light cast by the mists outside. Zoe leaned against the railing and looked down at them. "I've been here the whole time."
With both hands gripping the railing, she kicked her legs up and over the railing, sending her falling down toward the warehouse floor. She flipped once and landed on a sack of grain, then hopped down so she was standing in front of Nathan.

Alicia looked up at the other woman, her eyes narrowed. She sighed softly and shifted in her chair.

Nickolai watched it all with one eyebrow raised. Then he clapped his hands together and rested them on the table, smiling. It wasn't that genuine, and Nikolai let it show. "Well then! Seems we're all here. So, fearless leader, shall you tell us about our little mission?" He asked, looking at Nathan expectantly

Nathan nodded. "Of course. Well, my lovely brother recently received an equally lovely gift from Lady Venture, a show of good faith after a certain... incident with my niece. The thing is, my brother doesn't deserve this gift." He gave a rueful smile. He knew Faeldrin well, one of the few who knew her secret. "Especially since it was my niece's fault."

Noah listened to this, thinking. "And what was this... gift? We are going to steal it?"

Before Nathan could reply, Zoe let out a somewhat hysterical giggle. "Well, duh. Why else would we all be here." She glanced at Nathan and grinned. "Unless you just want to burn the house down. I can do that."
