Kol flared his pewter to dodge to the side and then danced gracefully a few paces away. He'd kicked off his shoes at some point, and now it was just his bare feet that slapped the rooftop quietly, the surface slightly slick from the mist. The mist--merely another weather pattern to some and a mystical force to others--swirled around both the Allomancers at they moved, as if drawn to them.

"I don't think you know what you're getting into, friend," Kol said. His voice had lost its cocky edge and was now just deadly calm. Playtime was over. "You and your friend should leave now." If the other man is even alive still, he thought. He didn't know Ava well enough to know whether she would have killed this man's companion. He had no doubt she'd have no problem taking him out, but hopefully she wouldn't go as far as to kill him. Kol didn't like killing where he could avoid it.

Instead of stepping slightly to the side so he could deflect the coin, Kol stepped directly into the path of the coin and shoved against it. He braced himself by pushing on two large sources of metal behind him and then burned pewter so the pressure didn't crush him. If Kai kept pushing on the coin, he'd be thrown backward by his own push.

This time Kol did step to the side so when he pushed on the coins they shot off at an angle, flying into the night and plinking against walls. Kol gave an experimental pull on some nearby metals to see if he could pull anything toward him to use as a weapon. Something a few yards away gave a creak and he tugged on it hard. The rusted pipe broke away from the building and shot toward him. With tin to enhance his vision and pewter to quicken his reflexes, he snatched the pipe out of the air. It was maybe a foot and a half long, both ends jagged from where it had broken.

Kai watched carefully and looked around for something he could use, too. But he couldn't find anything helpful, so he drew his own glass dagger and prepared do defend himself.
