Kai Burch knelt silently on top of a roof. It was a silent, creepy sort of night, with the mists seeming thicker than usual. But Kai paid no mind to the tendrils of mist curling up around him. He was waiting for his target. It was him and his gang who had been killing the people of Luthadel, killing them to scare everyone.... including the Lord Ruler. So, Kai waited. His target was a man named Kol Tekiel, a noble posing as a skaa. His people were thorough in their research.
Kai looked down on the ground. He was also waiting for his partner in crime, his Smoker, Artis Lekal who, ironically, was also posing as a half-noble skaa. Kai tapped his foot impatiently as he crouched there, hidden by the darkness and the mists. "Where are you?" he muttered under his breath. He recalled how he and Artis had met. Kai had heard of something valuable in the Lekal Keep, and he wanted it. So, naturally, he had tried to steal it. But he had been caught by Artis, and tracked down after he escaped. But, with his guile and charm, he had managed to turn Artis to his side, and now the noble worked for him. What a strange twist of fate, he reflected. But now he needed Artis to be here to help him take Tekiel out. And he was growing ever more impatient.

A second man stepped up and crouched down beside his leader. He wore a long black cloak, the hood pulled up and hiding his face and his long blond hair. While the mists would obscure his appearance for normal people, any Tineye in the night would spot his light hair like a beacon.
"Ready when you are, Kai," he murmured. He'd turned on his copper as soon as he'd joined him, creating a 'cloud' that would hide anyone using Allomancy inside it. Bronze-users wouldn't be able to sense them. "Kol Tekiel," he mused. "A noble turned thief. How much we have in common."

Kai narrowed his eyes, not even reacting when his partner arrived. "You're cutting it pretty close, though we thieves aren't known for our punctuality," he remarked. "Very well. Let's go." He jumped down off of the roof, using his allomancy to slow himself down. "He should be around sometime soon."

Artis followed him to the street in more mundane ways, using handholds on the side of the building to make his way down. He jumped the last few feet and landed quietly beside Kai. Just as he turned around, a young man appeared down the street, stepping out of an alley. Unlike Artis, he hadn't bothered to hide his blond hair, though he did wear a dark cloak to shield him from the cold. "There," Artis murmured. "That's him."

Kol glanced up and down the street. He doubted anyone was about, but certain habits had kept him alive. He had in bronze burning alongside his typical tin, just in case. Content that the street was clear, unaware of the two men hiding in the shadows, he gestured Ava out of the alley.

Kai watched, tensing to strike before he saw another person head into the street. He narrowed his unnaturally greenish eyes and gave a harsh smile. "Two in one night. What do you think, Artis? Are you up for it?"

Ava looked around before following Kol out into the open. "Where are we going?" she whispered, giving a small shiver against the cold.

"I need to talk with an old friend," Kol told her as he started down the street. His footsteps were light, his soft boots quiet on the street. "You didn't need to come, but I didn't trust those men alone with you." Before she could respond, he added, "Not that I doubt your ability to defend yourself. I'd just rather you not have to."

Artis chuckled lightly. "It seems the mistwraiths are upping the body count tonight, eh?" He pulled a long knife from under his cloak. With his eyes hidden by his hood, his creepy grin was the only thing visible.

Ava gave a wry grin. "Sorry, I know I've been a little defensive about it."

Kai grinned and started burning (that metal that increases physical strength?), drawing his own knife. He stepped out of the shadows and narrowed his eyes at the two, giving a faint smile. "What are you two... unfortunate souls doing out here this evening?"

(Pewter ) Kol's head snapped toward them, his eyes flashing in the pale light. He checked his bronze, but he still didn't feel anyone burning metals. Either a Smoker was around or this man was just an ordinary thief. He stepped in front of Ava, as if to protect her. He would like to get out of this without a fight, but it seemed unavoidable. These men would have no idea he was Mistborn, let alone Ava. The element of surprise would be valuable.

(Right xD Couldn't remember it xD)
Kai twirled his knife around his hand, pacing forward. "Tut, tut. How rude to not answer a question." Suddenly, he raced forward and stabbed at Kol, just to see how he would react.

Kol instinctively burned his pewter and stepped nimbly out of the way of Kai's attack. He'd probably just revealed himself as an allomancer, but it was better than being dead. Besides, the man would probably just assume Kol was a Thug, a misting that burned pewter.
He backed away from him, eyeing Artis as the other man stepped into view. "Now, look, we don't want any trouble," he said calmly.

Kai narrowed his eyes with a small grin. "We do," he said, immediately throwing out a coin and shooting it towards Kol.
